I have come across a very unusual older glass necklace, Its made like a Myra glass, however its inner glass is green, and it has a finish on it like a Loetz piece, kind of carnival colors in green blue and yellow, but matte, no high sheen. The glass beads are cut into on both ends, and the glass inside is iridescent, but when the glass is held up to the light, it is completely opaque green, and you cant see the matte colors.
Also the cut glass portions pick up the light so much that they look like they are silver / metalic lined, but its just the glass. Sorry this is so long , but i have searched hundreds of sites, and haven't found a thing. Was wondering if maybe any of 20190620_191952 (2).jpg 20190620_191952 (2).jpg you have come across anything like these in your travels. Also, just a note, the lady i bought them from at a flea market indicated they were her mothers and had them restrung with green seed beads as she didn't like the original spacers. i never thought to ask what kind of spacers so i could have restrung them back to how they were originally.

In texture/finish, these remind me of Zsolnay Eosin glass. CORRECTION: Zsolnay was porcelain, not glass.

Wonder if same/similar process, by a different maker?

Thats what I was thinking when I saw these. Alot of different makers made vases like this with similar glass, but I just can't find if any of them made beads. What age do you think the beads came from. They are restrung, but as you can see the beads are older. Any guesses?

I don't think this is the typical iridescent glass process.

I could be wrong. I can't find eosin beads, either.

Maybe the folks familiar with jewelry could get some impressions with a full photo of the clasp. They’re very pretty! :)

I don't think the clasp will help. The lady I purchased them off told me her mother, it was her mom's necklace, had them restrung as she didn't like the old spacers/ beads that they originally came with ,so I'm assuming the clasp was probably replaced as well. I wish I would have asked her what the spacers were and if she still had them, but it wasn't on my mind when I saw them , I just had to have them, ahem, and paid quickly and left with my beautiful beads lol

When held up to the light they look just like opaque green glass as seen in my previous post ... 3rd picture, and when set down on a white surface the green glass reflects a bit on the paper, it all depends on the lighting.

Sorry, I went back and re-read your first post more carefully -- missed the opaque part first time through.

Hope someone who knows what they are comes along. :joyful:
