    Hello all;

    Today I found these unusual chairs. I guess you would call them spring glyder chairs? I'm guessing by the metal parts and finish, that they are from the late 60's or early 70's.

    Does any one have any ideas on what style they are, or what vintage they are? Also; I may buy them, so I would welcome any ideas on their value.

    Depending on the direction in which it moves, it could be a "platform rocker."

    Then it's a platform rocker, not a spring glider.

    To me it looks like a fairly traditional Cushman-style paddle arm platform rocker, kind of like this one:

    I agree. Cushman or Cushman-style. Probably maple.

    The cushions may not be the original cushions as they seem a bit small for the chair. At a minimum the fabric on the cushions is not original to the chair.

    The chair is likely quite well made and if the rocker is working nicely, will probably last your lifetime.

    My guess on age would be 1940s-50s.
