Featured Unusual Optical Device ! Any ideas welcome

    D5D739CA-2D78-4AE0-9B23-B44FAC2231B4.jpeg B5B34CA3-1CF8-41AF-B2DD-58EE5AB6843C.jpeg I’ve had this very interesting optical device for a year and I have been mulling over it .
    It’s made of tortoiseshell .
    I think they are scissor spectacles but the coloured glass is intriguing .
    Would love to know more ....... !

    Rose tinted spectacles, no doubt.

    More seriously, perhaps an opticians tool for checking colour blindness?

    With the magnifying loops on one end, I think it is more likely a tool for examining something other than eyes - perhaps a tool used in mineralogy, gemology?
