    Greetings, techtacton. Good luck with your hunting. But if I could ask, what is a "surplus store?"

    Welcome! I love the older surplus stores in other states = fun finds! Can often find an old hardware store with odd bits too! If you are in a large enough city, I suggest you seek out the salvation army auctions, some other thrifts may have them too! They used to be held early in the mornings and were never advertised! Happy hunting! :cat:

    I think they mean thrifts.

    However "surplus" stores here in CA have typically been army/survival goods.

    Yes they are typically prepper or army goods. I've been to "surplus stores" in Texas, Louisiana and in Hawaii, and they used to be great for finds! Interesting items, I love looking there!

    @antidiem
    I think blooey is questioning why you tagged them?
    It was Bakersgma who asked what a surplus store was.

    I think @antidiem has a keen eye for the colors on both of their avatars...which are very similar ;)
