I have had this vanity for around 6 years (in storage)

I decided to take it out to see if any of you guys and gals might be able to help me with an approximate Date and possibly a Maker

The lady we got it from said it was over a hundred years old back 6 years ago.

The middle mirrors back board has been replaced (not the two side ones though) and I think it has been revarnished.

Please let me know what You know about it since I have no clue about antiques. 1.JPG 2.JPG [IMG][IMG]

Earlier part of last century. The bench with it is not a match.

Not much, I'm afraid. Unless the furniture mavens see somethng I've missed. I happen to be rather fond of certain brown furniture, but these dressig tables do not make the list. Gazillions of them were made, then scarred, chipped, battered, and hardware replaced, ec.

However, these things DO look much better painted white or a soft blue!

There is a red very faint number of 2684 on the back bottom left, if this is a production number then I would think the manufacturer was a pretty big company at the time.

If I saw it here, I'd say 1930s or 50s. Someone put replacement ply on that mirror.

Yeah the middle mirror has particle board on the back of it but the outer two still have the original wood backings

My Mother had a similar one in the 1950s in her dressing room. Somehow it disappeared in the '60s. :)

Interesting take I always thought rare was more valuable.

Rare only applies to the way one cooks meat.
There are a trillion things that are Not online....because no one has ever uploaded them.... because they are not highly sought after & of no great interest or value.
Things that are of interest ....are easily findable , specially if they are hard to come by ...or very valuable.

A simple google image search for "vintage 3 mirror" vanity will bring up a lot of very similar ones.

20s-30s walnut vanity. Almost impossible to pin to a maker. Not a lot of value. Condition is really pretty good.

I always thought they were 20's. I used to buy them, paint them a shade of green, then do a combination of painted flowers over a geometric lattice design. They used to sell like hot cakes.
