Vaseline glass decanter in a crinkle pattern. Measures 11" tall, including stopper, and is 4 1/2" wide and 2 1/2' thick. No marks on it that I can find. Thanks

This is a fairly modern, imported (Italian?) decorator piece. Post 1960.
The bottle is not blown by hand, it is produced by machine.
Is there a seal on the stopper? Is it made of plastic or cork? If cork probably closer to the 60s period.

Good strong color though. It would sell on the strength of that alone. Vaseline is still popular.

    Hi,
It will not sell and can cause all kinds of health problems. It would be better to send it to me for proper disposal. I have the ability and the correct place to keep the enchantment under control ship it to me before any other problems develope.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

My best guess would be Eye-talian as well. (my grandmother pronounced it that way and we would all follow with "from Eye-taly?", lol). The color is blinding! Better send it to Greg before your eyes fall out! :D

I can remember back in the '60s - 70s my mom bought some white wine in a bottle with a stopper like that. After the wine was gone, we used it to keep cold water in the refrigerator. Yes, that's how we lived back then with no bottled water, even had to pour it into a glass (unless you were my brother when my mom wasn't looking). Anyway, with that stopper, I think that possibly it was sold with some contents and then the folks kept the bottle. But that's just supposition, so take it with a grain.

Thanks to everybody for all of the help. Greg i would gladly send it to you, but my wife has already called dibs on this if it does not sell. So I think it would be best if i let her have it first.:)

    Hi Josh,
If you dislike your wife so much by giving her something that will harm her,
just shoot her and it will be easier on your health. Of course it is a way to deal with her without the law.
