    Interesting, thanks for posting it. I always thought the Girl with the Flute looked different from his usual work, but wdik.

    I see the article also mentions Theo van Wijngaarden. He was one of the financially struggling artists my grandfather bought paintings from in the 1930s. They were signed as his own, no fakes.;) No idea how he came to be in that situation though.
    My parents sold one of the paintings, of clematis flowers in a vase, for a nice sum in the 1980s.
