Pictures of a small but fine Antique (1930's?) Pen & Ink Drawing that I believe could be a California Mission Church Picture IMGmission1.JPG IMGmission2.JPG IMGmission3.JPG (San Diego?). I took a Picture of the Signature and hope someone might recognize the artist. Thank You for any Info. I can get! Gary K

Curious... Why 1930s? Why Mission San Diego?

Bev aka thelmasstuff Colored pencil artist extraordinaire ;)

My son lived in Calif. for nine years and my niece still lives there. This doesn't look like any of the missions we visited.

What is it on? It looks like foam core.

    Sure it isn't a print?

A mill with a water wheel, not a mission.

We now think of the missions solely as religious facilities but they were outposts that used Native American labor for a number of activities including ranching and agriculture. They did have mills. Here's one at Mission Santa Inés. Not too different from illustration.

Thanks Everybody! And especially Thanks to Davey Dempsey for figuring out the Signature and Artist for me! I am putting up another great victorian Watercolor painting I just yesterday found at a garage sale for a dollar. Real unusual Signature! Sincerely, Gary K
