    Hi everybody,

Another post from me this weekend ;)

2 months ago I have bought and received this column lamp,
but I'm not sure what the maker is, or how old it is.

For anybody who remembers the blue glass I posted a while ago,
which had a 100.000 small cracks in the glass.... This lamps has the same thing at some/most places. Maybe that could be a sign of age, or bad preservation (if that's the right word)... I'm not sure.

    *White opaline glass
    *Brass/Metal base + Lamp holder.

    Dimensions:
    -Height: 83 cm/ 32,68 inch.
    -Diameter Base: 17 cm/ 6,69 inch.

I have seen examples vary from USA to Denmark, with prices vary from
    $150 to $5500.

The seller thought it might be a Kessler (USA) Lamp.
But I have seen a couple of simillar lamps, made by
    "Bing and Grondahl Heiberg".

I have multiple links not sure if that's handy too you guys :p

Thank you very much in advance!

    Hi,
Nice lamp do not know much about it BUT you should replace that light bulb. Any flame shaped bulb should not be pointed downward. The heat will built up and cause breakage or death to the bulb. I suggest a small round bulb as a replacement. Those flame shaped bulbs where meant to imitate a flame and flames do not point down.

I agree and I'd use an Edison type bulb since the bale is SCREAMING for one. :)

By the way, I also wonder what kind of a lampshade I should buy for it.
Maybe thats a stupid question by the way, but how should it be attached?

    With the top 'nut'.
Could also get a finial that complements it.

The shade opening should be larger than that top cap, maybe an inch all the way around for cooling, unless you can, and wanted to, do away with it.

I think the shade a 'fluted' shape to mimic the base.

I googled it a bit, but those are nice lamp bulbs by the way!
