Featured Very long horn, is it folk art or functional? Fog Horn?

    I’ve been holding onto a few things I have no idea about and finally decided to ask you guys for some insight.

    this 50” horn makes a low call, I believe the previous owner had it on his roof like a weathervane (I have no idea why either- he was quite eccentric)

    the closet things I’ve found are fog horns, but they are not usually quite this large.

    anyone venture a guess? Better still, does anyone know?

    the mouthpiece looks like a fireman's speaking horn part...

    with an ultra long horn..
