It's been converted from something, I reckon. Nearest match is a Russian sword guard. Thoughts folks?

That’s very interesting! Where did you find it? Love a mystery!

Google suggests a Russian belt slide to me, not that I would know if that’s correct or not!

I think Russian sword belt slide was one of the options I saw? Little local retro fair find, piddled with rain so no car boot today. Only a fiver, cheap because the stall holder was picking my brain about other stuff. I’m a sucker for mysteries.

I also bought four miniature wax hands.

    WHY.

Do the hands have candle wicks in them? Save 'em for Halloween. The pin really does look like it came off a sword.

Did you own any previously? What are the odds of ever seeing such a thing again?

If the answers to the above questions were no & highly unlikely then you had no other options. The hands were destined to come home with you to live in the hoard. ;):playful::playful: :happy::kiss::kiss:

Judging by these photos, these are also brooches. Screenshot_20240707-083356~2.png

Could be, and it’s got squished at some point.

The hands have no wicks. ;)

It is indeed what we do, and what we can. And yes, I didn’t have any and hadn’t seen them before!

    We are all doomed.
