Very old lamp

    nice and simple.....it's got that candle stick vibe..!
    is it weighted on in the base...?
    any marks?
    Just how old do you consider very old ?
    I'm not seeing the age....

    Yes it’s got a lead ring to weight it underneath. Sorry meant to put just old as it was a mates great grandma that had it .no marks

    Size? Is this a lamp table? See it is a European type fitting. Where from?

    No floor lamp , came from mates grandmas house , told it was over 100 years

    So it is a lamp table.... the table is built in to a floor lamp. Would think early 20th century so could be 100 years old or nearly so. When I asked where from, I meant what country. Might help identify wood. Looks like something stained to mimic mahogany.

    The fitting as been changed as the original was only 2 core and damaged

    Have you got the original fitting still? That's a good clue. These were wildly fashionable here in the 1950s, and I think that's when it dates to. The wee shelf was to put your drink on, as this sat next to your chair.

    No I don’t as it was damaged . It was brass with like a White porcelain insert
