I came across this very old steamer trunk recently, and know nothing of its age, origin or value.

The lock clearly reads - EAGLE LOCK CO. USA - TERRYVILLE, CONN

The Eagle Lock Company was established in 1833, and that might be some help in identification.

It is in great structural shape, though its age is very apparent.

Any help identifying this piece would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.
