VERY UNUSUAL CARVED MASK OF MAN STANDING ON MASK(!) - WHERE IS IT FROM?

    This is the 2nd unusual piece I found at a local thrift store today! It is a mask carved of wood of a muscle man(?) standing on a mask?!
    I know pics are dark - taken with flash inside; I will take some outside if needed.
    Is this African? If not then from where?
    Voodoo figure?
    Any idea of age?
    It kind of reminds me of a early circus strongman from a old poster or something! - What is it suppose to represent or mean?

    Not sure what it's supposed to represent but looks more decorative than anything.
