hope you all are having wonderful sunday..

I just hope for some thoughts on this one..i think that this table is late 19 century or early 20 century... We bought it in Austria, fearly cheap...now i am surfing thru net and i found that victorian coffee tables are kind of similar..

I will be grateful for any thoughts

    How tall is this?

There are very rare examples of low Victorian tables. The vast majority (99%) are about 29 to 30 inches tall. Coffee tables are a post WW II furniture type. Low Victorian tables have almost always been cut down from their former height.

It is 28inch/73cm in height and 43inch/109cm wide... i dont think of it like a regular size table so my only thought ahead is coffee table

Renaissance revival occasional table, circa 1880. Probably had wheels to put it at about 30".

Most are too large to be called a coffee table... as noted by verybrad, 'occasional table' is an apt description. I recently found a pedestal base w/o a top which I'm restoring (similar to one in photo), really a wonderful piece of walnut construction, base weighs 100 lbs. ! The Renaissance revival furniture is classy and well made IMO. 2801_78324A24_master.jpg
