Victorian Lady Bust Marble?

    Any thoughts?

    Doesn't look like marble to me. Alabaster or soapstone, possibly.

    Third for alabaster. The lady looks ca 1910 to me, later than Victorian.

    Hi,
    You test the bottom to see if it alabaster. Put a tiny scratch on the bottom put a drop of white vinegar on it. If it fizzes it is marble if no bubbles it is alabaster or some other soft stone. Be sure to rinse the vinegar off quickly.
