At one time i knew what this was called. Now a days, not so much? Any help would be appreciated. I do think the green stones are jade. Need to research how to Identify jade.

On the whole what did they call these wired ensembles? is there anyway to repair? its falling apart, I just laid everything so that it shows in the picture.

Thanks everyone you have been marvelous! oldvictorianwire1.jpg oldvictorianwire2.jpg oldvictorianwire3.jpg ?

Thank you. Been reading about this for about an hour. thanks for the links for more reading! Curious now, Fire king Jadeite, is it really jade?? Because i was at an auction this weekend. They had a set of Jadeite bowls (fire king) and then one that was unmarked but it was a brighter green like in this link you sent https://www.gemselect.com/gem-info/jade/jade-info.php ... so now I am confused... dishes made of gemstones? should I be paying attention to that? (re-seller, looking for things of value)

So since these are such tiny beads 1/4" at best, they really have minimal value? probably should be restringing some of this old beads, and not waste my time with this one.

    Hi,
Fireking called their green glass Jadite due to the color. It has nothing to do with Jade the mineral. Several other companies used the name Jade-ite etc. There is jade glass which also has nothing to do with the mineral.

The picture is a little blurry so I can really see sharp details. Can you test your camera (phone?) on different distances and settings until you get a sharp image? I'd like to see it clearly so I could make a guess on repair. I did a lot of beadwork back in the day so I've worked with things like this.

And maybe photograph them separately? Apart from jade and wires I have no idea what I am looking at.

Exactly, but it's the lack of focus that hurts.

Doesn't look like the Victorian glass wired flowers.
Looks more like bits from different Jade trees. Jade trees are not always jade.

I'd say "jade trees" are almost never jade.(LOL) They're more likely to be random pretty rock or glass. That's probably what it was, especially on copper wire.

Looks like a chunk of coral. I'm not seeing Victorian in this, but it's hard to tell. Maybe 1950s?

Yes, I'd say from a 50s Chinese gemstone tree. Coral, glass, probably jade, and if those pink bits are real, rosequartz. Or evelyb's random pretty rock.
You could take them apart and put the stones as a row of pendants on a necklace.
