Vintage sterling silver pitcher/jug, folk art made in Mexico. I believe Aztec and not Mayan but I really don't know the difference. I am having a hard time with the hallmarks. I thought they might have said CARAW or something like that. I have searched all the silver hallmark sites and can't find this one. I know that Aquilar did work under Coro but I don't think this mark is close. I also thought I was seeing a crown but not like the Pineda mark. Any thoughts? Thank you for looking. You're right. It is a take on the central part of the Aztec Calendar Stone.
I wouldn't call it folk art, which is more 'folksy'.;)

Found it in Hougart. Caral, a retailer in Mexico City.

I see it has a different design on the other side. Maybe Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec Sun and War God. Not sure though, could you take another photo? I know it is difficult with silver.
It is the side where the spout faces right.
