Vintage Black Diamond Jewelry

    Hello!

    I am going through my grandmother's jewelry collection and was wondering if someone could help me value a necklace and bracelet. The paperwork I have says my grandmother received the pieces from her father in 1948 for her 21st birthday. Any help would be appreciated.

    Looks like onyx,marcasite and sterling.Is there a purity and maker's mark on the sterling pieces?

    The only marking on the item is "Sterling". I can't seem to locate any other markings. I know the pieces were purchased in Fairbanks. Is there a way to tell what type of stones they are?

    After looking more closely at the items, I would agree it appears that the stones are Onyx.
