I bought this clock years ago on ebay as usual, it cost 47.00 including the 3rd party company fees who bring it from miami to panama. I think was a real bargain.
Are this clock from the 30's or 40's?
Worthpoint says 1948 and a clock collector forum is 34-36. There's not much info about it. Eléctrical working fine,
    Thanks Moeller

Should say 'Ingraham clock co. Bristol, CT.' at bottom of the dial. it's walnut, ca. mid 1930's. Gothic forms made into many household items at this time, clocks among them. Electrics of this vintage are tricky to repair, The Telechron brand is easier - parts are available. I have this Ingraham with a replacement quartz movement. They were known for quality cases.

Looks like a correct movement... cord looks like a replacement. What often happens with early electrics is 1) oil in the sealed rotor dries up or, 2) turns thick like glue from not being used. If you start to hear a grinding sound.... it's on it's way out. As they say - If it's not broken, don't fix it. A nice little clock you found - the electrics made between 1925-35 were all the rage and had higher prices then the wind ups of the day.

    Hi,
What I do when the old electric clocks start to make noise, I turn them upset down and run it for a few hours usually for a day. Turn upset right and they should stop making noise.
