Vintage Jensen Contemporary Reproducer (Speaker)...Help-Information??

Picked this up today....I believe it is 1950`s-60`s....Very little information on "Reproducers"??...Is this a solo speaker or should their be a pair?...Any Information appreciated!

 

Well doubt this will help but it was fun to look at.
Page 2 has a different company's speaker that looks similar to yours. These things weren't exactly inexpensive to buy. Couldn't find anything about Jensen except page 355 or was it 356, the actual speaker inard.

60's sounds about right..

 

I don't know about this particular speaker but Jensen made high end speakers for stereo buffs back in the 1960s, along with a few others like Bose.

 

Thank for all the replies to my post...cxgirl...I would fly to D.C. for the free one,but I think they were only selling the cabinet & speakers were removed...James...Jensen was a high end item & I believe stereo buffs still seek out the older components...What I do not understand why this is called a "Reproducer" and not a "Speaker"???

 

I suspect this was produced as an extension speaker, hence reproducer.

not sure if mentioned previously - I'm on short time this am:

Use of a city code and lack of a zip code should date the label to pre-1965 (?), though a supply of old labels may have been "used up" before newly printed ones were used.

 

I always thought it was 1963.
