@ Vintage Large Terracotta Hecho En Mexico 17" Tall and !5" Tall

I'm not sure if I've asked about this set of items before,I don't remember.Storage fine,2 heavy vintage terracotta figure sculptures.I don't see a name just a small paper,"Hecho En Mexico".One measure 17.5" 7.5"x5.5" tall and the second figure measure 15" tall and bottom 6"x8.5:Both are heavy.Any idea what items are.

 

Is there a reason you believe those to be vintage? Could/would you post a photograph of the paper that says "Hecho en México?"

I know they are quite large but the first thing I thought of when I saw them was chess pieces.

 

They do look like chess pieces.

I've had this set many years.

 

I just looked at my last pictures,there's a "M" on the back

 

Thirded on chess.

 

4th on chess pieces!4 pieces my parents brought back from Portugal 40 years ago. smaller 9" tallest 16" used in outdoor or indoor plazas .

 

That is a vintage sticker. 1960s/1970s-ish if I remember correctly.

And now... Would you post a photograph of the M?

I'll have to take your word for it. So, if chess pieces... The bishop is obviously what he is. She'd likely be meant to be La Malinche.
