These little studio pottery vases with the tiny opening are generally called "weed pots" if that helps.

That's cool, I wish I never did too. I probably could have been a millionaire by now.

In an ironic twist, I have MS so I could get pot here in CT without the cops getting after me.

That looks like Raku to me.

More like art studio pottery. Raku generally doesn't have a shiny finish. As for the MS, I have one of the progressive versions. On the upside, my cat doesn't care, so I have to keep moving to please Her Imperial Furriness.

I had a GF who was a great potter.
Raku can be shiny if treated after. Some do this to their work.
They use simple cleansers like Ajax to do so.
    :)

Polished low-fired pottery? I should have thought of that; the Germans did it to stoneware in the 18th century, and some Native potters still do it now. The clay is wrong on this one however.

They do it to clean the carbon off. :)

Not raku, which is low fire temp, this looks to be stoneware with an iron temoku type glaze. Thrown off the hump, most likely a studio potter. Can't help with identification, sorry. Raku is fired to about 1800 degrees and is porous and kind of thuds when flicked. Stoneware is fired to about 2200 degrees, is non porous and will kind of ping when flicked.
