Featured Vintage loupe -Age etc please

    Presumably for studying your bible!. The significance of 12 is obvious but why 12,0?
    The quality and magnification of the lens is very high so I'm wondering if it's not as old as its trying to look although the gold tone is quite worn.
    Love to hear any thoughts please :)

    Oops, sorry!. The lens is 3.4cm across and the whole thing top to bottom is 5.2cm.

    Thankyou @Hollyblue Ive found some to compare and you are spot on. Nothing to do with religion!!. Not sure the significance of the cross at the top but the modern ones have that too.
    Off to read my bible :happy:
    Very slow tonight. It's not a cross it's a plus sign :banghead::banghead:. Long day.....
