Vintage or antique ribbon flower brooch

    This is a large brooch at 2.5” across.
    The back is gold plated brass and the flowers are all created with ribbon surrounded in a slightly odd hairy basket/nest of fine wire.
    The C clasp is suggesting antique but please can you help me narrow a date down?

    I’ve seen something like. I think they were sort of kits, thirties into forties,
