Featured Vintage Postcards - Recent Auction Box Lot Finds

    Purchased a box lot of a few hundred postcards at an antique auction. These are the keepers that I like the best out of the lot. Always am thrilled when I find vintage Halloween cards. The Women's Suffrage card should also be worth a bit too. Zenas, Indiana for which I have three postcards - barely even exists know and I don't see any mention of recent sales so I expect they are fairly uncommon cards. The two RPPCs showing the tomb and funeral procession are for President Harding's death in Marion, OH. Love the anti-German propaganda postcard with Uncle Sam strangling a dog dressed as the Kaiser. Also got around 50-60 German made turn of the 20th century antique postcards depicting life in West Africa. May post these later as they are interesting.

    Yeah--cool! The Dayton Ohio flood and fire-- an atypical subject for a postcard. And who knew that suspicion of Germans even extended to dog breeds?
