    I'm here looking to identify antiques.

    My first antique is a Stein made in West Germany that says Volendam.

    Here is my first antique I need identified:

    Hi and WELCOME to Antiquer’s Volendam!!! Not sure if that also is going to be your “Handle/Name” or not since it’s also what you’re also calling your stein! Could you also add a picture of the bottom, and any other markings you may find on it, as well of the size. It would also help if you could add a bit of history on it.....i.e., origin or how & when acquired, etc.?

    It is German made, in a period when the Western world had gone Holland mad. Volendam is a fishing village in Holland, the west of the Netherlands.

    I agree, the style and lid look like Gerz. Gerz was a stoneware manufacturer in the heart of the Westerwald region in Germany. The Westerwald is famous for ceramics.
