I believe I have a Walter Corey rocking chair. Any info would be appreciated. I do not know much about it. Thank you!

It certainly looks like you have a Walter Corey (1840s-1850s) rocker with the stenciled logo still legible. The seat curves up in the back and the front has an added piece forming a roll. I wonder if this would still be called a plank seat? The crest rail is a good and wide loaf shape. One of the websites says: "During the 1840's the loaf shaped tablet was a popular Corey shop tradition." I didn't realize how much Corey rockers favored Boston rockers though this one is armless. Boston rockers also date to the 1840s. Others more informed than I, will soon chime in. This chair looks like it has been refinished. I suspect it was originally stenciled, especially on the crest rail. Following is a link about the Walter Corey Company in Portland, ME.

Can't add any more. I see no reason to doubt authenticity based on these pics.
