Please post a close-up, in-focus photographer of the Werner Gallery sticker.

We don't seem to have a picture of "the prairie house."

I don't even see Beth's signature? I do not see a prairie house tree? We cannot see exactly where the gallery is located? I am unsure here.

The Werner Gallery was owned by Diane Werner Osborn from 1987 - 1997. She's on LinkedIn and has a Facebook page.

Okay If I read this right the Prarie House print was a gift to Muriel and Ernest Werner. They were NY art dealers and probably owned the Werner Gallery in Manhattan. Her father is the United States representative of Kunsthaus Lempertz, an auction house in Cologne, West Germany, and he and her mother, Muriel Werner, are private dealers in modern art. Now who gave them this print ?

The daughter is Diane Werner Osborn

Who is the print created and printed by?

I recently got bitten by the print bug. I am being consumed by print and multiples of all types. I have taken the print below out of its frame it has a title and number small Hilltob.

    The more I learn about these prints the more I want 20200323_204024.jpg 20200323_173155.jpg 20200323_202657.jpg 20200323_202659.jpg 20200323_202736.jpg 20200323_202739.jpg 20200323_202814.jpg 20200323_202821.jpg to know.

From what I have been able to grasp from the Gary Stover Videos I believe this to be a lithograph.

I have magnified the images with my android phone by zooming in and snapping.
the image. The resulting images give the appearance of looking at them through a loupe.

My question is what else is revealed by the enhanced image such as type, process ect.

update The print upon closer observation looks like an intaglio print. The artist is Robert Kipniss signed for Muriel and Ernest. And then there is the book " Robert Kipness The Working Artist's Life "

    https://books.google.com/books?id=G...nepage&q=Muriel ernest werner gallery&f=false

same ones that had just experienced such an ignominious return from the gallery. ... The dealer's name was Muriel Werner, and she sold that painting, and forty more ... 28 Muriel and her husband, Ernest, visited my studio periodically 158 a ...

Nice find on the Kipniss. Found one myself last year that I turned for a reasonably quick $150.00. Theoretically worth more but was happy with the turn.

Do you see a plate impression? Kipniss seems to do a lot of mezzotint, but the gallery below shows this print as a lithograph:

    https://www.gildedpeargallery.com/robert-kipniss.html

As the gallery has lithographs and mezzotints by Kipniss, I'll make the wild guess that they know the difference.

I did find a colored version of the image, also called a lithograph, and issued in a portfolio of five images.

Thanks verybrad, Moreotherstuff, Thanks. for the correction, the print is a lithograph, not an intaglio print. I got my first two intaglio prints, with this print, at the same store and at the same time.

As a late bloomer in the prints and multiples nitch. Those intaglio prints are what fascinates me the most, the way the wet paper is pressed down into crevices that were etched, scratched of whatever amazes the hell out of me.
