Featured watercolour challenge

hi all

another blinking watercolour, i want to find rich thick impressionistic oil paintings but all i seem to find are watercolours

seem quite proficient though, and they always seem to sell, if i can find location

any help with possible location would be a great help, ive tried searching clock towers but cant seem to find anything close

taken it apart no marks or sigs

any help appreciated

 

Promenade clock and apparently they're not unusual in the UK.

A very competent watercolor, Charlie. Is it small in scale? Nothing on the back? Do you have any sense at all where it might be?

It's 11 1/2 inches by 7

No info at all, but modern framing

Just a hunch, but I would think the Apple hasn't fallen far from the tree, in terms of location, maybe Torquay ?

 

You may well be right re apple & tree. Try Exmouth. (If it is, a bit romanticized.)

But since I've been on antidepressants I don't really have that depth of emotion to create anything

Charlie.....I really don't want to mess it up.....I tried a bit....but there are other thin dark lines, so I stopped....I brightened it a bit too.....you or someone else can enlarge it a bit more and see if you/someone can figure it out!! @anundverkaufen is ALWAYS pretty good at it!!!



One more, but I think @i need help just might have gotten it!!!! There's also more writing off to the right side of the tree, but I think that's pretty unreadable!!!

Usually with these types, I find the location is more of a selling point than the artist, but always good to try and find the artist

 

what does it say on the wall of the house in the R/H background ?
from the surroundings it looks rather on a lake than on the seaside.
