Featured Way cool 1902 video - "flying train" footage from Germany

Someone had fun with it and added some color. It's a really neat view of Koln from the air in 1902. Electric lights and horse-drawn vehicles. Meanwhile, an electric (I think) train on overhead rails adds a total steampunk feel to the whole thing. The train's route was right over the river through town.

Not Köln but Wuppertal. Looks like a charming 19th century town; my understanding is that it's become very industrial since then. Love those clean streets, but hey! It's Germany, after all. Aren't clean streets the law of the land?

That suspended train is amazing! So great that it's still in operation. The train cars look more Deco-era than 1902, that's how advanced the whole thing was.
