I can not find this pot anywhere on the web. This company that makes a lot of lusterware, but this pot tho, it is very colorful it does not seem to be lusterware. I assume that the lid is a marriage but might be flat when the pot is set upright and view as an elephant the size is 5 x 7 20200215_064847.jpg 20200215_064906.jpg 20200215_064941.jpg 20200215_064955.jpg 20200215_065041.jpg 20200215_065051.jpg 20200215_065227.jpg marriage but maybe not be because it has to be flat, because when the pot is upside down when it is in its pouring position the base would have to be flat

I think it is a clown body instead of an elephant.

This mark is one of the standard mark of the Japanese company called The Takito Company (1880-1948). Known for lustreware (lusterware) decoration taken originally from the technical developments done at Noritake. They also made moriage wares in the Satsuma style and many other types of tablewares.

The diamond/rectangle pottery mark with the "T-T" mark is found on much of their lustreware production and so likely dates from the 1920' and 30's when this decoration style was fashionable.

The period 1913-1926 is referred to as the Taisho period. The 1930's onwards is the Showa period.

In reference to the example provided by quirkygirl, my search results indicated it was originally a Juice Reamer...as seen here https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-clown-juicer-reamer-cups-set-406075978 but the dates go from the 1920s to the 1960s, depending on the source.

Wow QG I thought that the 2 snouts were a bit peculiar for elephant thanks for realizing it was a clown. Thanks, INH, Aquitaine, and flipper
