Featured What age is this baby bracelet?

Hello all! I picked this up at auction, listed as "Edwardian silver black enamel bracelet/bangle". There weren't many pictures and no measurements so I was pretty surprised when it arrived and it was a baby/child's bracelet! It is sweet though. Only the front latch part is testing as silver, could the other metal be pewter perhaps? Also, the darkened etched bangle part isn't enamel I don't think, more like tarnish. I'm wondering if it is Edwardian in your opinion? I haven't seen a baby bangle quite like it before. It measures 5" on the interior, 1.6" across. Thanks!

 

There's something very moden looking about the way it's finished.

 

I don't see any enamel, more like oxidation in the stamped designs. Looks ca 1900 to me give or take 20 years. I'm no expert! Odd that the strap tests differently than the latch...

The floral shape was made to be engraved with the baby's name.
It is very sweet, and people do buy antique baby bracelets.
