These are dark amethyst glass. They need a cleaning..knotted between the beads, a modern? clasp. Any idea as to country of origin, time period, etc.? Thanks. Lumii_20250207_125713273.jpg

I've no idea whodunnit or when either, but the beads want to be Venetian and were probably strung in the USA. I don't know anywhere else that uses watch chain clasps that way. The cording looks synthetic, so post-WWII, but the beads could be 20 years old or 100.

Length? Looks more like a sweater guard or something that had to attach to something else at either end. Can't imagine any commercial company nor any home crafter, really, using 2 of those clips to make up for a more ordinary clasp on a necklace.

A watch chain, maybe? Great beads and if it weren't for those shown by @komokwa I'd have said acorns, too!

The weird thing is, the clasps are soldered shut, don't open.

That's just plain weird. Why use a clasp and then solder it closed?
