    Hi all.

I also got these in the big lot of clothes I bought today and would like some info on them please.

The one is a thin single piece of fabric whilst the other is a thicker fabric and is double to triple layered.

    Lastly,

What do you call this type of garment, and am I correct in assuming it was a 70s to early 80s style?

    Hi Acquitine, my apologies.

The first item is approximately 126*62cm whilst the second is approxinately 90*48cm

The "bloomer" garment is a ladies size Large to XL

    Thanks

They look like 1950s/60s head scarves, and I'd call that yellow whatsit a romper.

And may it return whence you found it! Like those ghastly, cutesy, puffy, little girl sleeves on maternity wear. :yuck:

    :)

Now that yellow romper (is it a romper if it's two pieces? it looks like two pieces to me), that's something special.

When my mind tries to suss out when that would be appropriate for an adult to wear ... ... ... :jawdrop:

I'm loving all the responses here as that was my own reaction on seeing that romper thing.

And yes indeed Jivvy, it is a 2 piece :) And I can think of only a very very few times where that would be appropriate wear for an adult and even then it would be frowned upon

When I was a little girl, apparel like the yellow garment was known as a sunsuit. My mother & I had matching ones, white with turquoise polka dots, that tied at the shoulder.

Those scarves -- gathered and notched -- look like the type one would cover one's curlers with so one could go out (if one wished to do so with curlers in one's hair.)

We called those playsuits. Rompers had legs! I'd think mid 70s ish. They came back in for a while.
