Featured What are these metal spoons for?

    These spoons are about 4 inches long, made from silver color metal, seems alpaca-ish, not silver or silverplate. They seem oddly shaped to be demitasse spoons. Do they have a particular purpose? Thanks.

    At 4" long, with a relatively large bowl, they are too large for most of the purposes suggested, bit small for jam or jelly, a slim possibility, but you don't find sets of six jam spoons. Frankly they look like an interesting set of demitasse spoons to me, uncommon, but not the first squarish or other unusually shaped bowls I've seen (their only real purpose would be to stir the coffee, mocha, whatever). I have a harlequin set of MCM enamel demitasse spoons by Finn Jensen like these, with a triangular bowl, they're also 4" long:
