    Hi there
I am hoping someone may know the history of these pieces and if they are antique silver.
Both pieces have quite an elaborate pattern on them. The knife has what I think is a hallmark but the fork doesn't.
    Thank you.

They look like late 19thc aesthetic period silverplate fish servers, I believe they are English.

Thank you. Do people still use them or are they more for collectors?

I do, when I actually cook a whole fish. Which is hardly ever nowadays.;)

    They are silver.

People have them along with a full set of a fish cutlery knives & forks.

They go in the sideboard drawer for best, never to be used again.:hilarious:

My posh relatives were horrified I even had them, it was considered 'not done' among posh people. Ok, so I am a traitor to my supposed class, so what.:smug:

Hhhhmmm. Well I don't consider myself particularly posh so I think I will use them. They are too nice to be hidden away for ever. As a matter of interest how do posh people serve fish

    Yay!
They use (double) spoons. Why should they use anything useful when they have been doing silly things for centuries, right?:hilarious:

Oh that is funny. I will have a giggle everytime I use my very unposh fish servers!
Would you mind please helping me work out what a couple of other pieces are?

Antler horn handles. Silver, they have value, if plated, not, sadly.

The Hallmark suggests they are silver.

Of course, Tracey. I am not the only one here though, we have some great silver minds.

Great. Thank you. I have created a new thread for a very unusual spoon. I don't think it's English.
