I am wondering what these are and possibly the maker. It appears to be maybe brass or bronze? They say made in austria and some type of makers stamp but I have no idea who made them. Thank you for any info!

    Dunno...but I like 'em!
They appear to be a pair, but the orientation of the makers marks suggest different production runs. An' then there are the numerals, 1 & 2...I confess to some confusion about 'em.

The RR stands for Richard Rohac who made lots of little blackened bronze animals and figures. They are mid-century Austrian bronze, but I don't know what they are.

Those look a bit small for the purpose but... He did produce a variety of bookends. You might want to check the sizes he typically worked in.

A paperweight? That might work. The orientation of the markings should point to usage.

Ah, the orientation of the mark does determine their usage. Well, those are lovely.
