Featured What can you tell me about this oak hall bench?

    I got this today for $200. I fell in love...it has a storage area. What time period would this date to? French? English? American? Thank you for any info you can provide.

    all I can tell u is that I have one.....later...not as finely carved...no carving..///....and I thought it was a church pew......

    so basically ........... not much !

    other than it's very nice !

    Renaissance Revival inspired by the likes of R.J. Horner. This one is probably ca. 1910 or so.

    It may well be British, it's very typical of late 19th/early 20th ones. Nice example.

    That is sure to liven up any room. What lovely character it has and it has form and function, and yet is Antique. Nailed it.
