We got this vanity along with a box top dresser. I restored the vanity but know nothing about it.

1920s transitional to art deco period piece. May be English.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Brad, I can't help but ask, given our recent discussions about 'dark furniture' versus faddishly re-painted in light/popular-colors... what are your thoughts on this pretty restoration versus repainting, as regards market value in various markets, please, if you have time?

This restoration should be worth more but paint is what sells and sells faster (if not always for more money). This would sit a looooong time in my shop regardless of price.

That's actually what I thought you'd predict, except this one is just so PRETTY that I thought, we'll, mayyyybe it's different...

Chair looks like oak, nothing to do with the other piece.
