What do you make of this ring.

    Tests negative for silver, non magnetic, 24k gold acid test, no change.
    I`m thinking it could be Platinum, however the red setting in a heart shape just looks naff.
    It has the mark 58 inside and two other marks one of which looks like a G.

    Sorry for the quality of the pics, poor light and very reflective.

    If platinum it should feel like 22 carat gold but even more so. I suspect you have handled enough gold to know what I mean, it just feels too heavy for the look of it.

    Swarovsky do an ‘Eros’ range, there’s a row of rings and a pendant with the heart that looks very similar.

    That's a Swarovski ring without a doubt. Their jewelry is costume.

    It is identical to the ring on the left.
    It sold for $18, my suspicions were correct, naff.:p
