What is it? Metal thingamajig

3 3/4" long and the hole would fit a large allen wrench. Seems to be solid.

One side says IN with an arrow pointing left and below that CM-13. The other side says OUT with an arrow pointing right. The manufacturer's name and address J.W. Chapman, Kensington CT, USA.

If hubby had been home I'd have asked him but we've been really busy. When he walked in and saw it he asked what I was doing with a ratchet. Doh. I'm going through my mother's tool boxes. She was the fix-it person in our house.

 

Hello, That ratchet was part of a set, usually found in a yellow vinyl pouch. Different insert bits in different sets. I am betting that the hex opening on yours is 1/4". I have one around here somewhere, I will try to post a pic.

Hello, Terry. I didn't know that Chapman made other drive sizes (the hex opening in the ratchet). The ratchet posted by Bev is a CM-13, which is definitely a 1/4" drive. Here is a Chapman Set No. 1316, screwdriver and Allen bits. Regards, Lou
