What is this? Bull & Wolf headed napkin holder?

Found this nice little bit of Sterling silver in my father's collection. We are trying to figure out what it is. Has the head of a bull on one side and a dog/wolf on the other. It's about 2.5" wide by 2.5" long.

Closest thing we can think of is a napkin holder?

Can't see these as being napkin holders right off. Can you show or describe how the napkin would be held?

In addition, I can see a teeny tiny mark on each just past the end of the sterling marks that I imagine is the maker's mark. Any chance you can get a well focused picture of one?

 

Key ring. One end screws off or comes off somehow. The keys slide on. As for the heads - bull and bear?

Tiffany makes a variant with balls on the ends. I wanted to buy one but I got outbid at auction.

This one is far more elaborate, though!

 

Yeah, a little accessory to gift to one's favorite stockbroker. Missing the engraveable disc.

No Tiffany's? No, guess not. Design somewhat different.

Yeah, maybe a knockoff? It bends together in the shape of the Tiffany. Bulls head unscrews off.

Can't find that "M"-like mark anywhere.

 

The Tiffany version looks more like a knock-off. Could of come from anywhere back in its day. Brooks Brothers, for instance.
