I’m in the process of cleaning it but not exactly sure what it is exactly. I’m pretty sure it’s made of copper and it’s a tray or center piece or something. Idk how old it could be but just curious.

@Anthony Hollingsworth - Hello & welcome to the forum!!:happy:

Please do wait for more learned folks to weigh in but in the meantime, you could help us out a little.

First, edit your title to include the words "copper? dish. You can do this by clicking on "thread tools" at the top right. Adding those words to the tile will get the right folks to look in to see if they can help.

Second, what are the measurements of this piece?

Third, are there any marks of any kind on the bottom? If so post a clear photo of this mark.

My SWAG is this is a copper over brass dish if the photo of the front is after you have cleaned it. Also, what did you use to clean the piece?

BTW kudos to your mother & stepfather for recycling the metals rather than putting them in the trash!! :D:D:D

Lastly is there anything else interesting in the "scrap pile"? You might be surprised by what we find interesting. :D :playful::playful::playful:

  3. I do that you for the advice. I’m about to fix that. Also sadly no the platter was really the only thing that wasn’t just wires or a broken curtain rod or stereo. I’m super glad I found this place though. You can also sale and buy here I think I saw right?
