What is this copper thing?

    This is some type of a handmade copper attachment. Have you seen something like this? It is hollow and has hooks to hang it and there are hooks inside that can be turned from the top. It measures 11" wide, 8" high, 6" deep. Ideas welcome!

    Intriguing - looks to be some kind of easy on/off extension for something. Hmmmm, but what? Small bread oven??

    Some kind of cover or lid for sure. The top hooks are probably for locking it in place.
    I have no idea what it came off of though.

    The top hooks are attached to hooks inside and they can be turned easily - maybe to hang food inside while the attachment is hooked onto the side of a wood-fired stove?
