What is this Jug used for?

    I've seen one of these before but need some help recalling what it is?

    Doesnt seem to have a spout so Im assuming it only to put things in. So with that Im guessing its a portable chamber pot device.

    I could still be completely wrong though haha

    It's an aksos jug, traditionally for water or wine

    Askos, the s and k the other way around.;) They are also used for oil.
