What is this? Some kind of window key?

    The locksmith doesn't even know. I used to, but I've forgotten. Photos taken in different light. Same item, but I do have two of them.

    That's what I thought, but Jon didn't think so. They came from my cousin's house. I thought they were more likely handles to crank windows out like the ones we have on our Andersen windows. I can't find them online, but my research abilities are in the cellar right now. I'm overworked!!

    I think terry may be on the right track. Is the shaft end perfectly round? If so, does it have a threaded hole in it?

    The shaft is round but no thread. I see it more like an allen wrench that goes into a hole - but then it would just spin.
