I have a hollowed out tool that looks like it's some kind of meshing instrument for processing of crops, but I am not sure. I also am not sure where it came from. It is 13" long by 3 3/4" wide.

some kind of musical instrument, (missing the thing you hit it with) made for tourist market IMO

I haven't seen this particular form (that I can remember) but the braided sennit on the handle, and the carved designs look Samoan to me. The hollowed out part resembles some split gongs/drums, so this may be a version made for tourists, because I would agree, it's a souvenir item, from the South Pacific. The pattern looks like a traditional Samoan Pe'a.
