Looks like it might be a bob for a clock. Edit; wait, 6cm, too small for a bob....possibly cover for a key lock - asian ?

The letters on the back seem to be "光号", but I have no idea of the meaning... Could it be a weight of some kind?

Chinese robot translation is “light number.” That should explain everything.

    Btw what’s it made of?

Maybe I’ll go to my fave Chinese restaurant shortly and ask the proprietors.

Chinese restaurant folks didn’t know, one suggested may be door knocker. I think the symbol on one side is kinda like a scale so my final answer is scale weight, antique, even tho I couldn’t make sense out of 410 grams vs. any modern Chinese weight unit. It may be very old. Patina is correct looking for old bronze. Send to me for free detailed analysis.

Mr. Chen gave another translation, said top character is “brand” like company name, and second is “Light” which he interprets as the proper name of the company. Whether that is maker or owner we don’t know.

Looks like a heck of a sinker to keep a fishing line /nets down at the bottom of a fast current river! ??
