    Do we get any clues? Like what material(s) appear to be involved? Why the inside seems to be filled with something white in one picture and then black in another?

    You probably realize this already but I believe it’s some sort of compact/reticule purse. I have no idea of the age. Very interesting and pretty!

    Is it pottery ? It kinda looks like resin. Sure seems unwieldy for someone to carry. I bet its heavy .

    I'm guessing 1920s purse.
    Top for lipstick, comb, and powder, bottom for everything else.

    I doubt it is American. French? German?
    Doesn't look like Bakelite. More like celluloid or plastic ivory for the time period.
